101 things to do in 1001 days.

By a suggestion of a friend, I am going to do a 1001 project that is inspired by: http://www.triplux.com/dayzero/

I am going to make it go in sync with my 1096 picture project (http://www.flickr.com/photos/24201026@N08/sets/72157603982554654/), which that project was meant to show how things change for me over the next 3 years. This way, I can provide photo proof of what I did on the list as well as add more to my photo project.

My start date: May 30, 2008
My end date: February 25, 2011

Penalty: Failure to complete the list will result in me donating 10 dollars for each task incompleted to the PBS.

Here is my list, it is not in any order:

THE ORIGINAL LIST
1. Earn my Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE or BEEE will do)
2. Earn my Associate’s degree in Engineering Science
3. Reach my target weight of 215 lbs.
4. Be able to go on a road trip from the United States East Coast to the United States West Coast.
5. Get my right ear pierced to where it would fit a curved barbell.
6. Get a tattoo on my right arm to represent my degree in Mathematics.
7. Get a tattoo on my left arm to represent my degree in Engineering Science (this requires earning the degree first).
8. Get a tattoo on my back to represent my degree in Electrical Engineering (this requires earning the degree first).
9. Become skilled in Adobe Photoshop.
10. Become reading/speaking fluent in another language.
11. Complete my 1096 photo project (http://www.flickr.com/photos/24201026@N08/sets/72157603982554654/).
12. Earn a number 1 ranking in 5 popular songs on Audiosurf (elite difficulty). [0/5]
13. Partake in two Chinese Acupuncture sessions (at least 6 months apart). [0/2]
14. Partake in two Brazilian Waxes (at least 4 months apart). [0/2]
15. Set foot on every state in the United States (previous visits DO NOT count). [0/50]
16. Go without eatting any meat of any kind for 30 days straight.
17. Go without drinking anything non-water for 30 days straight.
18. Partake in the NYC marathon and at least make it half-way through the course.
19. Go skydiving.
20. Go bowling and bowl a 200+ game by myself.
21. Do at least one portion of the Appalachian Trail (at least walk through 2 states).
22. Make Brandi Seckner’s 30th birthday the best birthday she ever had.
23. Go on a out-of-NY-state adventure with Lindsay Palma.
24. Travel to Japan.
25. Travel to Europe and go backpacking through at least 4 countries.
26. Do not bite on my nails for 180 days straight.
27. Learn how to sew properly.
28. Be able to bench press 300 lbs. with some ease and do 10 reps on it.
29. Be able to jog a 10 minute or less mile with some ease and no rest break.
30. Do a full blown dress up as a zombie for Halloween or a convention (i.e. Gen Con).
31. Earn a high paying job that is located in a great place to live (i.e. NYC or San Francisco).
32. Become skilled in the Java Programming Language.
33. Visit China and walk part of the Great Wall of China.
34. Be able to take a random homeless person off the streets and take him to a diner for dinner on me.
35. Learn how to shoot a bow properly and become skilled at it.
36. Learn how to shoot a gun properly and become skilled at it.
37. Be able to take a seed and make it grow into a plant.
38. Being able to play “Times Like These” by the Foo Fighters on acoustic.
39. Read the Bible completely.
40. Learn Quantum Physics/Mechanics without the need of a college course.
41. Being able to dance with someone in a working fountain.
42. Re-read the complete Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy.
43. Travel to Easter Island and see the Moai.
44. Be able to make another Thanksgiving dinner for 4 or more people.
45. Learn to be able to make a campfire from scratch (meaning rubbing sticks together).
46. Learn Real Analysis without the need of a college course.
47. Learn how to snowboard.
48. Learn how to surf.
49. Learn how to juggle.
50. Learn how to breathe fire.
51. Build a professional-like sand castle.
52. Create my own hacky sack (footbag).
53. Learn how to drive a stick shift.
54. Travel to Mexico.
55. Replace my high school class ring.
56. Attend at least 5 major conventions/Concerts (i.e. Comicon, Gen Con, All Points West)
57. Learn how to write legibly with my left hand.
58. Learn how to play the harmonica and own one.
59. Attend one Scientology Protest.
60. Learn how to hand glide.
61. Travel to Canada.
62. Learn how to set up a tent and sleep in it.
63. Be on the start of my master degree in Electrical Engineering.
64. Visit any old friends from the time I lived in North Carolina.
65. Whiten my teeth.
66. Meet someone famous.
67. Buy an arcade machine.
68. Use a dart board to plan where I should go on an adventure.
69. Buy an old Green Lantern toy ring and wear it everyday for 6 months. [0/180]

71. Visit Legoland in California.
72. Go rock climbing.
73. Surprise Alexandria Hash out of the blue.
74. Buy an fancy cane and actually carry it with me.
75. Learn how to make chainmail.
76. Ride a horse.
77. Buy a metronome.
78. Make someone’s Christmas Day worthwhile.
79. Make someone’s Valentine’s Day worthwhile.
80. Buy an actual top hat.
81. Take a complete vow of silence for 1 week straight. [0/7]
82. Actually run around with someone in the rain and make out with that person.
83. Visit my actual grandmother on my dad’s side.
84. Visit my ‘grandmother’ on my dad’s sides grave (he was adopted).
85. Make someone’s New Year’s Eve/Day worthwhile.
86. Make out with someone on a rollercoaster.
87. Get a new pet and take care of it.
88. Actually get my mom something good for her birthday.
89. Actually get my mom something good for mother’s day.
90. Learn how to actually break while playing hockey.
91. Have my own place to live outside a college campus.
92. Put a lot of faith into something/someone and not be afraid of it backfiring on me and see it through to the end, no matter what the outcome is.
93. Buy a really old electric guitar and use it.
94. Buy a digital camcorder.
95. Buy a digital camera.
96. Make love with someone in a pool or hot-tub.
97. Allow my hair to grow up to ten inches without forcing myself to cut it.
98. Make love with someone at a cemetery.
99. Build my own bicycle from scratch.
100. Make love with someone under a boardwalk.
101. Sit on the roof a building and watch the sun rise.
